Please understand—this is never intentional. It is not from a lack of care, knowledge, or dedication. We take every measure to reduce risks, but no breeder in the world can guarantee absolute perfection in life, health, or temperament.

1) Dog Identification

This guarantee applies to the specific German Shepherd Dog listed on your sales contract (name, litter, gender, DOB, microchip/registration, purchase price). Keep a copy of your executed contract and receipt.

2) Genetic & Congenital Health (Up to 5 Years)

We guarantee your dog will remain free from any serious genetic or congenital condition that significantly affects quality of life through the fifth birthday. A licensed veterinarian must provide a written diagnosis, and we may request confirmation from a board-certified specialist or an independent second opinion.

• Our guarantee does not include monetary returns
• Our guarantee does not extend to covering veterinary expenses
• Remedy: You may keep your dog and receive a replacement puppy of similar quality from the next suitable litter.
• Exclusions: illness contracted after transfer, accidental injury, poisoning, neglect, or conditions not related to genetics.

3) Hips & Elbows

We warrant hips and elbows against uncertifiable results or moderate/severe dysplasia (per OFA or FCI equivalents). A certified orthopedic veterinarian must provide diagnostic radiographs and a written report that clearly identifies dysplasia.

4) Intact Status (Males)

Males are sold as intact at transfer (two testicles descended unless otherwise disclosed). If an issue is identified, notify us in writing with veterinary confirmation.

5) Early Breeding Prohibited

Breeding (male or female) before two (2) years of age voids the guarantee.

6) Registration Papers

Domestic/import dogs are guaranteed registerable with AKC and/or GSKC. Imported dogs are guaranteed papers with the issuing registry of the birth country (SV or FCI, as applicable). Paperwork timelines may range from 3–9 months.

7) Temperament

We guarantee sound temperament through the dog’s fifth birthday. This guarantee is void if the dog exhibits signs of being mishandled, overpowered, abused, intentionally frightened, or if issues arise from lack of socialization, neglect, or unsafe environments. Evaluation by a qualified trainer or veterinary behaviorist may be required.

Remedy only: Keep your dog + replacement puppy (no refunds, no vet reimbursements).

8) 15-Day Exchange Policy

If you are unsatisfied within 15 days of possession, you may exchange for another dog/puppy of equal quality and value, subject to availability and our approval. The dog must be in good condition (normal wear and tear excepted) and all registrations/records must be returned as applicable.

Shipping is the buyer’s responsibility (see Clause 10).

9) Remedy if Guarantee is Honored

If the guarantee is honored, Gunbil provides a replacement dog/puppy of comparable quality, age, gender (as available), and value from the next suitable litter. You are not required to return your original dog.

No refunds. No veterinary expense reimbursements.

10) Shipping & Logistics

For exchanges or guarantee claims, the buyer is responsible for all logistics and costs (including U.S. domestic and any international shipping, customs fees, import/export, and ground transport). This includes shipping for the guaranteed replacement puppy.

11) First Right of Ownership

If you intend to sell, place, or transfer ownership, Gunbil German Shepherds reserves first right of ownership to purchase or receive the dog back under mutually agreed terms.

12) Monetary Refunds Are Not Part of This Guarantee

At Gunbil German Shepherds, we are committed to raising puppies with exceptional health, structure, and temperament. Instead of offering cash refunds, our guarantee focuses on providing lasting value and peace of mind. Should an issue covered by this guarantee arise, your remedies are clearly outlined to ensure you and your puppy are fully supported.

13) Entire Agreement & Jurisdiction

This web summary and your signed sales contract comprise the agreement regarding your dog. In case of any dispute, the State of Colorado shall have jurisdiction and Colorado law shall govern.

14) Initial Wellness Exam (72 Hours)

Have your dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours (3 business days) of pickup or delivery (Sundays/federal holidays excluded). If a life-threatening condition clearly present prior to transfer is found, notify us in writing within 24 hours and provide the veterinarian’s report. We may request an independent second opinion.

15) Records Provided

Buyer acknowledges receipt of all treatment/vaccination records and the rabies education brochure (when applicable by age and law).

16) Please Do Not Abandon Your Dog

We understand life happens. If you cannot keep your dog, we will rehome at no charge. We can pick up anywhere in the USA by prior arrangement. Contact us to coordinate.

18) Veterinary Costs Not Covered

Gunbil German Shepherds does not cover the cost of medical treatment of any kind. If the guarantee is honored, the remedy is a replacement dog/puppy of equal value only (shipping not included).

19) Spay/Neuter Timing

Do not spay/neuter before 16 months of age unless your veterinarian recommends otherwise for medical reasons in writing. Early spay/neuter may void orthopedic coverage under this guarantee.
