Safe, comfortable transport via direct flights & door-to-door ground

Shipping & Delivery

We offer safe, comfortable transport for our puppies and dogs through trusted partners. Direct flights when available, careful crate selection, and veterinarian documentation are standard. Ground delivery is also available door-to-door within the United States.

Air Transport — Puppies (USA)

We generally do not recommend air shipping for German Shepherd puppies. While we can arrange direct flights when absolutely necessary, airlines impose strict limitations that can make travel stressful for large-breed dogs. Crate times are often long, cargo holds are noisy, and weather restrictions frequently cause delays or cancellations.

If air shipping must be used, we will only book direct flights from Denver International Airport (DEN) and ensure all veterinary and safety requirements are met. However, we strongly encourage families to choose our ground transport services whenever possible for a safer, less stressful experience.

Problems with Airline Shipping

Major U.S. carriers like American Airlines and Delta Air Lines do offer live animal shipping. However, both enforce very strict crate-size restrictions and breed policies that make it nearly impossible for large-breed dogs like German Shepherds to fly comfortably. These limitations cause frustration for owners and add to the stress of air transport.

  • Strict crate-size limits (e.g., Series 400/500/height clearance) may prohibit the transportation of a German Shepherd puppy or dog due to their erect ears (which can measure approximately 1.5 to 2.5 inches in puppies and 3.5 to 4.5 inches in adults). In accordance with airline regulations, transport will not be permitted if the dog’s ear touches the top of the crate.
  • Crate time can exceed 8+ hours including mandatory early check-in.
  • Airline cargo holds are noisy and stressful, not climate-controlled like passenger cabins.
  • Temperature restrictions can lead to delays or cancellations in hot/cold seasons.
  • Limited staff oversight — pets are often left unattended during transfers.
  • Documented complaints from owners regarding mishandling, lost pets, or delayed flights.
  • Risk of missed connections and extended layovers increasing stress on the dog.

Why Door-to-Door?

  • Less stress for the dog — avoids airport cargo holds, loud noises, and long waiting times.
  • Continuous care — professional drivers monitor your pet, with breaks for food and water.
  • No extended crate time — unlike airlines that require early check-in and long confinement.
  • Flexible scheduling — coordinated pick-up and drop-off times to fit your needs.
  • Direct delivery — your puppy or dog arrives safely at your door, no airport trip required.
  • All-season safe travel — not restricted by airline temperature cut-offs.
  • Personalized handling — smaller loads mean more attention to each pet.
